Senior Citizens with Limited Income Exemption (RP-467)

All exemption applications must be filed by Taxable Status Date, MAY 1st!

Ownership & Age Eligibility Requirements:

  • The property must be your primary residence
  • New applicants must be 65 years of age by May 1, 2026

Income Eligibility Requirements:

  • A combined adjusted gross income of less than $58,400 for County tax
  • A combined adjusted gross income of less than $37,400 for City and School taxes

Documents Required with Application:

  • Proof of age (NYS ID or Driver's license)
  • Proof of residency (Car registration or ConEd or Cable bill ONLY, must include tear-off portion)
  • Proof of 2025 income
    • A complete copy of 2025 Federal income tax return (all pages and schedules), if filed
    • If no tax return was filed, copies of all 2025 income statements,1099's and W-2's
