City Clerk

  • Parking permits for persons with severe disabilities residing in Peekskill can be obtained from the City Clerk's Office at City Hall. Download the application form (PDF). Once the application has been completed and certified by a physician it should be brought to the Clerk's Office where the permit will be issued for a period of five years for a permanent disability or six months for a temporary disability. There is no charge for this permit.

  • Applications are made available annually in the end of May or beginning June. They are available on the website (PDF) or at Police Headquarters.

  • Alarm bills can be paid in person to the Records Clerk at the Police Station with a check or money order made out to the City of Peekskill 

    • $35 for Resident or
    • $65 for a Business

    Records Clerks are only available Monday through Friday from 8 am - 4 pm. Alternatively, payments can be mailed to:

  • An alarm permit can be obtained by filling out the form found on our Alarms page

  • Accident Reports can be picked up Monday through Friday at City Hall in the City Clerk's Office for a fee of $7.50. 

    The accident report will be available for pick up approximately 2 days after the reported date. If the accident occurs on a weekend or Holiday, then allow two days from the next business day for the report to be processed and available for pick up.

  • No, in fact most complaints are based on simple misunderstandings that can often be resolved by informally meeting or speaking with a supervisor who can explain the basis for an action or inaction.

  • No, written complaints can be made via U.S. Mail or email. A link to an official complaint form can be found below. A completed version can either be sent via U.S. Mail or email to the Chief of Police.

  • In short, a person making a legitimate and truthful complaint in good faith should not fear any action being taken against them. However, anyone who knowingly lies or makes a false statement in bad faith may be subject to prosecution.

  • As defined by Section 575-60 of the City of Peekskill Code, an artist is "an individual who practices one of the fine, design, graphic, musical, culinary, literary, computer or performing arts; or an individual whose profession relies on the application of the above-mentioned skills to produce a unique creative product; i.e., an architect, craftsperson, teacher of art, music, dance, chef, photographer, etc." [Full list not shown here]
